Kashyyyk

Finally arriving at Kashyyyk, this is a less traveled planet, the spaceport facility is more than a little run down.

Riding out of the spaceport, there're some traditional Wookiee dwellings. The design is very unique, and suitable for the local climate. And trees very where. I start to love this place already.

Wookiees are rebel sympathizer - well mostly, I've seen some Wookiees lured by greed joined the Empire and kill their own, as well as hunting Jedi. Anyway, their dissatisfaction are evident - small rebel outposts hidden away in the dense of the jungle, like this one I accidentally came across. The Wookiees also have very strong ties with Jedi, there's a less known fact that Chewbacca is a good friend of Jedi Master Yoda.

The jungle here is famous for it's dangerous creatures, the trees are hundreds of meter tall, and the Wookiees build their houses on the tree top, and rarely venture into the bottom of the jungle - a very very deadly place. The giant spider for example - Walluga Skullsmasher.

This is still pretty close to the top of the forest, I don't want to imagine what lies deeper.

Bloodclaw Mouf - a weired looking creature, stay away from this one.

Bolotaur - a big lizard, leave it alone, and you just might survive.

Jyykle, it reminds me of the Carion Spat found on Corellia, it's mostly harmless, untill you feed them. There were cases that tourists fed them some food, and they wanted more, so they started pecking people's pocket, just look at their beak, needless to say the result were quite bloody...

This one looks familar to me, I've definitely seen some on Yavin. They're NOT friendly, despite their cute look.

Finally, some harmless creature - Minstyngar, don't let their mean look fool you. They're actually quite tame, the big fang and horn are actually for scaring predators - just a self defence mechnism like those found on some species of butterfly with big round eye pattern on their wings.

OK, I was kidding about it, keep a big girth away from them - unless you consider death and clone, running with bad mechanical arm/leg is fun.

The view on the tree top is absolutely breath taking.

As I descent, it's getting darker. Colour changes from lush green to brownish tree trunks and branches.

This is the only creature I encountered that is not dangerous. Really, I'm not kidding this time.

Almost reached the bottom of the jungle, see how dark it is? Not, it's not night time, it's still daytime. With the forest so dense and trees so tall, the sun light never reaches this part of the jungle. And danger lurks at every corner. Now, there's no more path, I had to walk on branches and jump from one branch to another. One slip, you'll be a smear on the ground below ...

Webweaver - run for your life! This thing takes a team of professional hunters to kill. And they're very aggressive, razor sharp fangs, needle like hair on their back and legs, and deadly poison.

Well, the travel brochure says "... consult a doctor immediately", but let me tell ya, you won't last that long to consult a doctor ...
