TKD Black Belt Test
January 15, 2005, my test day, it's a big day. According to Murphy's Law "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong", first I caught a cold on Friday January 14th, all strength left my body, have body ach all over. So I went home early, drank some Nyquil, went sleep early.
The next morning, my fever has reduced, but I still have sore muscles, I had to spend 20 min in bed sweat and gether my strength. I ate some fruit and headed for the test, pray for the best.... Everything went smoothly in the morning.
Me, breaking 4 tiles with left knife hand. It's so blur, how do I know it's me? I was the only one used left hand, as my right hand is still not quite healed. However, things started going south afterwards...
I failed to break 4 wood board with a turning kick :-/, and hurt my right foot badly. Immediately, I was only able to limp around. Then came the 3-mile jog, because of my foot, I was able to just "shuffle" for 1 mile, but it hurted like hell very single step... Then the push up, sit up, and body builders, I had a lot of difficulty with body builders, as it requires to land on my toes, but, it's just not possible in my condition. But I endured it anyway(yeah, I think that's why it's called a endurance test) ... But, in the end, I did pass, and received my 2nd degree black belt... it will be a very painful memory.
My condition worsened on Sunday, high fever, unable to walk. And today, my foot has swollened to the size of a Kimo paw.
